CEREC technology is making heads turn in the world of dentistry. Not only dentists but patients find CEREC quite impressive, too, thanks to its convenient and swift restoration fabrication technology. The fabrication of dental crowns, veneers, bridges, and other dental restorations is quite convenient and less time-consuming with CEREC compared to the conventional methods.
If you have ever got a dental crown to restore your damaged or severely decayed tooth, you would have a good idea about the hectic and time-taking procedure involved. The dentist would initially take a mold of your tooth using a gooey, putty-like substance, which will then be used as a reference for fabricating the crown. As an alternative to traditional dental crowns, we would like to introduce same-day CEREC crowns to you. As the name suggests, CEREC crowns can be fabricated and bonded to the teeth on the same day of the initial consultation. This reduces the chair-time involved significantly and allows you to return to your personal or work life sooner. CEREC uses CAD/CAM technology, where the dental restorations are automatically milled out using computer-aided means. Here are some of the prominent advantages of CEREC crowns:
