Dental Veneers

Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.

Porcelain Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth -- to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance.

Permanent Crowns can be made from different materials:

  • Zirconia or milled crowns (CEREC)
  • Porcelain-fused-to-metal
  • All-ceramic or all-porcelain
  • Temporary

Amalgam vs Composite Fillings

Composite Fillings

Today, several dental filling materials are available. Teeth can be filled with gold; porcelain; silver amalgam; and materials called composite resin fillings.

One of the many advantages of composites fillings is its aesthetics. Using this technique our dentists are able to reach a color nearly identical to that of the actual tooth. And in addition to that, composites bond to the tooth to support the remaining tooth structure, which helps to prevent breakage and insulate the tooth from excessive temperature changes.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is cosmetic procedure that results in whiter teeth and a brighter smile. Bleaching your teeth changes the color of the tooth enamel and removes both surface stains and those deeper in the teeth.

At Amaya Dental we offer our patients with different options, to better fit our patients' needs.
