WORRY-FREE TREATMENT IN A SAFE, COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT
Does the thought of visiting the dentist fill you with fear?
Many people are anxious about visiting the dentist. In fact, about forty million Americans avoid going to the dentist because of this dental phobia even when it is the first visit.
Just as any other phobia, dental phobia is also an irrational fear. Dental phobia is believed to be more severe than anxiety. Although many are aware that their dental phobia is completely irrational, they are not able to do anything about their fear. This can result in avoidance behavior where people don’t often get the treatment or dental care they need.
At Amaya Dental, we understand the concerns of every patient. While we ensure every patient gets the optimal dental treatment, we also believe that expert dental care does not necessarily have to hurt! With a focus on utmost patient comfort, we offer sedation dentistry that makes it possible for everyone to relax while they get their smiles back!
SEDATION DENTISTRY AT ITS BEST
There are many dental conditions that need immediate attention of qualified and experienced dental professionals. Tooth decay, gum disease, broken or cracked teeth and crowded teeth are just some of these conditions that require professional care. Left untreated, infections can progress to a level where it can be difficult to save original teeth.
At Amaya Dental, we have the right mix of professionalism and friendly ambiance to put the most anxious patients at ease in no time!
Sedation dentistry is one of the wide-ranging services we offer aimed at making you or your loved one feel completely comfortable so that you can get the dental treatment you need.
WHAT IS SEDATION DENTISTRY ALL ABOUT?
Sedation dentistry is all about offering safe sedation so that a patient is not conscious during the dental procedure or treatment.
We use four different methods of sedation that include:
Oral sedation: Oral sedation does not need needles and is done by using oral medications. These medications help in creating a comfortable experience and in fact, many patients even fall asleep during the procedure. Some prescriptions that may be used for oral sedation include Valium, Ativan, Versed or Halcion.
Nitrous Oxide: Nitrous Oxide is ideal for patients who need to have shorter procedures or treatments and have lesser anxiety levels. At Amaya Dental nitrous oxide is available at all times for those patients who may get anxious at the last minute!
SEDATION DENTISTRY OPTIONS
Other treatment options available to you.
IV Sedation: This form of sedation is administered intravenously using a needle. Being a deeper form of sedation, this is generally used in procedures that last for a longer duration or for those with severe anxiety.
General Anesthesia: General anesthesia at Amaya Dental is monitored and administered by an experienced anesthesiologist. This form of sedation is required in certain dental surgeries and procedures where the patients are required to be completely unconscious during the entire procedure.
WHICH SEDATION OPTION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
At Amaya Dental, every treatment process begins with a thorough evaluation. During your initial visit, our reputed dental experts go over your medical history and current dental condition to assess the right kind of sedation. With wide-ranging cutting edge technology and the most reputed professional dentists, you can be assured of the best dental care at all times.
